Surgery at Parkland

Employees Give

As an employee, you play a key role in helping us create a culture of giving at Parkland. The results of your great work motivate the community to give to Parkland. Our hope is that you will be encouraged to donate as well. When you give to Parkland, you can directly enhance the care we provide on our main campus and throughout our community. A donation of any size qualifies you to become a member of the Employee Giving Society, which recognizes and celebrates your commitment to our patients, your fellow colleagues and the health system’s critical needs to keep our community healthy.

Ways to give back

As an employee, you may give online at www.IStandforParkland.org/Donate or through PeopleSoft.

Giving through PeopleSoft

On PeopleSoft, your giving options include:

  • Recurring payroll donation
  • One-time donation
    • Employees must have at least 80 hours of PTO in order to donate any amount of excess PTO to Parkland Foundation.
    • Employees who donate excess PTO to Parkland Foundation will be taxed on 100% of the value of the excess PTO donated at their regular withholding rate. Out of the 100% value, 75% will be paid in cash by Parkland to the Foundation and 25% will be paid to the employee to cover the taxes.
    • When donating PTO to the Parkland Foundation via PeopleSoft (Go to Main Menu → My Parkland → Payroll and Compensation → Then choose between Employee Childcare at Annie’s Place or Employees Give.
    • Employees may be eligible to claim a charitable contribution tax deduction for donations of excess PTO to the Foundation and should consult their own tax advisor.

Employees can designate their gift by choosing a service area from a drop down menu. Funds will be used at the discretion of the vice president over that service area and/or department.

Chevron Society

We call our special giving club the Chevron Society because they take a leading role in maintaining Parkland's nationally-recognized excellence in healthcare, as well as strengthening our long-term commitment to our community's health. 2022 Chevron Society members receive exclusive benefits commensurate with their level of giving.
