Community Health Workers are Making an Impact Across Dallas
Amazon’s generous donation continues to impact South Dallas community

You're probably familiar with what a pharmacist, nurse or surgeon can do for your health – but do you know what Community Health Workers (CHWs) do? They are frontline public health workers who are trusted members of and have an unusually close understanding of their communities, and they help bridge the gaps among communities, individuals and providers through grassroots outreach and education.

Amazon saw the need to help bring a CHW to the RedBird Health Center (RedBird) in South Dallas and generously contributed $150,000 to make that happen. The CHW program plays a vital role in connecting the community and RedBird to help increase access to care to those who need it most.
